Gannondorf: We Meet Again

So, as one might gather from the title, I've spent the last week and a half playing Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Specifically the master quest, the version I got for GC when I pre-ordered Windwaker, oh, what, eight years ago? I feel kind of gross when I think about how long ago it was that I first played this game on N64. I got it when I was in around 5th grade, which makes it at least twelve years ago. At least. That's over a decade. Gross. But while I remember what do to between the dungeons more or less, the actual dungeons aren't the same as they were in the player's guide (which I'd practically memorised- I was very obsessed with this game circa 1999) and so I have to be all clever and such to get through them. Some of the things you have to go through- Twilight Princess was so easy in comparison. I never at any point had to look up what to do. OoT I'd've been pretty lost without a guide, and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have made it five minutes into Majora's Mask without it.

It's Elaine's turn now (I finished the Spirit Temple and called it a day) and I've been watching her do hopelessly bad at beating Phantom Ganon. It makes me very frustrated. I think I irritate her, because I'm like, "Uhg..." every time she gets hit. And she's not very good at the energy beam baseball game, which won't be idea when she's defeating actual Boss Ganon.

Oh. God. I'm nerding the fuck out here.

Really I'm just posting because I'm bored and procrastinating on working out. I could, you know, read, or do homework, but instead I'm watching Doctor Who (I don't think I'm going to be re-caught up before the premere Saturday) and posting here. I think I'm jealous of Trish- she's using her blog to become an awesome, famous writer. I use mine to whine or ramble about my day. Then again, she actually wants to be a writer. I wish I had the ability to do something glamourous and fun and creative like that. But instead I do science. Which, of course, I actually love, but it certainly lacks pizzazz. Scientists tend to only be famous among other scientists. Really, I'm okay with that. Maybe I'll be lucky and be in Science or Nature some day. That's almost like being a New York Times bestseller.

Well okay I guess I'll stop musing on the internet. I'm watching the episode where Donna and the Doctor go to Pompei. I've been there! It was not as exciting in 2010 as it appeared to be in 79. So it goes.

YES, a new post! and it's about Zelda! Sad that it's been over a decade ago that we played it for the first time. and sad that I know exactly what "energy beam baseball game" means.

I am currently dominating Harry Potter Lego for the Wii. and once you play it, this sidenote will become relevant: Colin Creevey is my favorite character because in the second year, he would follow me around everywhere.

i love ocarina of time, i need to get my copy back from Kevin. but damn it, he's in Africa...
