Baila!

Still here in Spain. We´ve done sooo much in the last few days. yesterday in particular was sort of a touristy day. We went to these two houses by Guadí, a famous spanish archetect who built tonnes of buildings here in Barcelona. We also went to this church on top of this mountain just outside of the city. The church was cool, all Gothic and old school... hardcore old school, too, not stupid American old school... anyway, and when you stood on this precipice, you can see the whole city sprawled out in front of you. The whole thing was very fun. You can see the church from the city, perched on top of its little hill like a castle, Dracula´s castle or something. It´s very ominous looking, and I love it, and I saw it from the city and immediately wanted to go there. WE hopped in the car and drove and drove, winding up and around the mountain. It seemed like we climbed forever, then when we got there, more stairs. The whole time I felt a bit like I was walking towards doom- the atmosphere is a bit creepy, maybe because of the closed amusement park next to it. But looking down on the city, just begining its evening, was awesome. Then we drove back down, and as we did, the church´s lights went on. It was sweet... the whole time, the church ando nly the church had been covered by a low cloud, and when the lights went on, the cloud lit up all firey orange, and it looked sort of like the bowels of hell were exploding over the church, and some heaven-and-hell battle was about to begin. Very cool.

Not too much else. The buildings by Guadí, especially La Casa Batillo, are so neat. La Casa Batillo is very cool, themed sort of like a dragon perched over a waterfall. I suck at explaining things, so if you really care that much, you can look it up online.

Other fun stuff: suprise party for guillermo, went to a bar where I could totally legally drink fanta with vodka (true story: surprisingly good), school today, which was interesting if not exactly tonnes of fun. And as always, shopping.

In the meantime, I love getting news from Cleveland. Elizabeth, Scott, and Syd have all been very good about telling me things, and NIna, Cait, and Bobby are all very good at pretending to be interested in my trip.

But now, it´s eleven twenty-one(or as they tell time, 23:21) and definately time for bed. adios.
