Vertigo
Well, I just got through reading about 700 articles on Mags in the Cleveland Forum Website. Funny how they don't thing Eileen is a v. good coach... However, they all did say that we played a great game last night (which we did, we put a lot of heart into it, although our technique and such was shitty) and Katie told me that the NO coach even was talking to Ginley and Sarah and mentioned that we were the better team and just had a bout of bad luck. Interesting. Here are some of my personal favourite ideas from the forum, and my comments in regard to them.
On the NO game:
Even game. Mags played w/o their best player and took the Eagles to overtime where NO won on a nice cross and finish. Good game to watch. Congrats to both teams.
~not out of bitterness, but mere curiosity, I wonder who this person considers our best player? Hannah or Nora? Summer or me? (haha) Ginley? (double haha)
On "our fans"
if there are any. now i know what a soccer field looks like..st eds has a great field thanks.. so used to playing in a cow pasture with lots of mud puddles and holes.. all though kind of fitting for the way the program is going.. to bad used to be one of the powerhouses. say 5 to 7 years ago.. how long has your coach been there???
~ Well, I thank you very much for making fun of our shitty farming field, and for comparing it to our playing ability. Though this is a bit hostile, I do somehow find it charming none-the-less. In that "oh, it's true, and that ruins your life" kind of way.
Of our coach:
This cant be the same coach that has crashed and burned year after year after year.. the same person that said we are a team and has never been in the bus with the kids.. shows up late for the games.. cancelles practice because she is to busy.. brings her kids to practice..cant run with the kids..HAD the ad in her back pocket.. is this cyo or div one.. or doesnt matter.. and to think she gets payed for this
~You know, that's not entirely true, in Eileen's defence. She has ridden the bus with us a few times.
Well, anyway. I just enjoyed that for purely informational reasons. If anyone out there wants to read more (and there is SO much more), go to http://www.cleveland.com/forums/ghssoccer/index.ssf
Well, anyway, so about the bloge title of today. I was listening to Q104 (stupid news breaks on 88.3) and I heard Vertigo by U2, that song they use in the new iPod commercials, and decided it was sweet. Then a commercial came on, and I surfed channels a bit to The Buzzard, and lo and behold, there again is Vertigo! So I just though I'd mention that I quite enjoy this song. I shall download it eventually.
School sucked. Four tests in five classes, and oh, yeah, I was too pissed off last night to do my homework. But I think I managed to do well on everything but bio. My brit lit vocab left something to be desired as well.
In about a half an hour I shall view Lost, and then progress to Mags for a lunar eclipse viewing. That is, I will if it is still on, being that it is a bit "nippy-noodles" outdoors (as Georgia Nicolson would put it). I am indeed reading (now book four) of the Angus, thongs, and full-frontal snogging book. They are quite amusing, but I can't help but think I would never be a friend with someone as self-absorbed and snog-obsessed as Georgia. I have already made the mistake of that, thank you. I think that if it weren't for her general "hilariosity" and ever-redeemable British slang, I would through the book to the side in sheer frustration that someone could be that shallow.
Although read this bloge, and see that I don't have a whole lot to complain about. Besides, she is the age of a freshman, or maybe a sophomore, and we obviously don't expect a whole lot from those people.
To a deserted island...and then to outer space...
