The Early Nation
See, if I just use that as my title, and stare a lot at my government book in front of me, it looks like I am studying for that test. But in reality, I am blogging, because I haven’t in a long while. You know. Since Sunday night.
Yesterday was decent. It would even have been worthwhile if Mr. Phillips had been in government. But alas, he wasn’t, and I really do have a test to make up with him. But I left my folder/portfolio thingie at home or in mother’s car or something, and I don’t have my notes. Well, they’re not really notes. More like he read us the answers to our test. But I don’t have them, and therefore will have to ask him if I could not take the test until tomorrow.
After school yesterday the team went over to Moira’s house and consumed massive amounts of food. It was fun though. We then proceeded to watch family feud for some reason. I find that odd as I have never considered them the most intelligent of the species. But it was still funny. They can be quite a humorous bunch if the need presents itself.
After that was the bay game. Quite a disaster. We lost four to one. I didn’t play. As usual. Everyone knew a lot of people on their team, but I didn’t. I am so out of the little soccer loop. Which is actually a rather large loop. Everyone knows everyone who plays soccer. Such a political sport.
Then, after the game, I went to Caribou for the study group (that will soon be annual) with Caitlin and Steg. It was fun, though we didn’t really get anything accomplished until the end of the night. However, seeing as we were the only people in the shop, the girl who was working allowed us to create the trivia question. Naturally, Caitlin thought of something Daniel Radcliffe involved. It was great though- she even got to write it on the board. And the guy working there was pretty cute, too- v. Keanu Reeves a la the Matrix. Not with the glasses- more like when he is still a normal person.
Well, anyway. This all leads up to my annual Tuesday morning trip to Caribou before school (how I love free mods). The girl who was working there last night was there again this morning, and she told the lady waiting on me to give me the discount. Which rocked, because that’s like…cheating. But she was really nice. Then I figured out that the lady who was waiting on me is to be my yoga instructor at a later date. Pretty cool shiz.
It’s amazing how fascinated by the little things I am. Like how I can type this with amazing speed and accuracy. Go keyboarding. I think that that class was actually useful. Sad, I know, yet too true. And I’m quite confident in my skills with AP bio. Well, for chapter 6.4 anyway. The other ones I have to study on my own. But it’s a start.
Anyway, before they catch me, I am going to actually study some government. Or maybe even a little Theology. I hate Cauldwell. Although, he gives me points for saying my usual bullshit. Bullshit is something I excel at. Wouldn’t you agree? I just learned that a) bullshit is in the Microsoft Word dictionary, and b) that its all one word, not two. Once again- impressed by the little things.
Looking forward to adventures with hair dryers.
